Explore Canada’s Atlantic seacoast on this scenic vacation to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. Your trip begins and ends in Halifax, with charming fishing villages, natural wonders, and breathtaking vistas in between. Head first to New Brunswick and the Bay of Fundy, site of the world’s highest and most dramatic tides and home to Hopewell Rocks, giant sandstone formations carved by years of tidal erosion. Spend two nights in Saint John, Canada’s oldest incorporated city, established by royal charter in 1785. Take a day excursion to explore the charming and historic town of St. Andrews by-the-Sea where you can take an optional whale-watching cruise. Travel across the 8-mile Confederation Bridge to Prince Edward Island, famous for its potatoes and red sand beaches, for a two-night stay in Charlottetown. Begin your stay that evening savoring fresh, locally caught lobster at an optional lobster supper. You’ll return to the city of Halifax for a two-night stay and take a day excursion to visit the quaint fishing village of Peggy’s Cove, home to one of Canada’s most photographed lighthouses. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg, where you’ll visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic to learn about the importance the fishing industry has to this region.
