Escape to Porto - Private Tour

Arrival at Porto Airport and transfer to the hotel for the overnight accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the full-day tour with a walk through the historic center, exploring Avenida dos Aliados. Continue to São Bento Train Station, where the guide will share the history of the station and its famous tiles. Walk up to Porto Cathedral, one of the city's oldest monuments, and head towards the Fernandina Wall, offering beautiful views of the city. Arrive at Praça da Batalha, where a bus will take to Vila Nova de Gaia for a visit to a Port wine cellar. There, learn about the Port wine production process, followed by a tasting of three varieties. After lunch (not included), embark on a rabelo boat for a scenic cruise along the Douro River, enjoying views of the bridges connecting Porto and Gaia. Return to Porto and overnight at the hotel. Full-day tour to Guimarães, the birthplace of Portugal, including visits to the castle, the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança, and Praça da Oliveira, all classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Braga to visit Portugal’s oldest cathedral and the Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary. Return to Porto and overnight at the hotel. (B)
