Breakfast at the hotel and day at leisure to discover Rome. We recommend a guided tour of the Vatican Museums, to admire Michelangelo’s famous Sistine Chapel and other masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance more closely. In the heart of Rome, within the green park of Villa Borghese, the lovely Galleria Borghese can also be an interesting place to visit. After breakfast, board a high-speed train to Florence; the journey takes about 1h 30’. In the afternoon,  explore on your own with a walk through the streets of the heart of the city, ‘cradle of the Renaissance’. Perhaps join a guided walking tour that visits Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza della Signoria, the Ponte Vecchio with the goldsmiths’ shops, or visit the Uffizi Galleries, with the masterpieces of the masters of the Italian Renaissance or the Accademia Gallery, which houses the original of Michelangelo’s famous statue of David. Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will have the chance to discover the famous Chianti area and its rolling hills with a half day tour from Florence. This tour will allow you to get away from the noise and crowds of the city and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the world-famous Tuscan countryside. Your journey through the Chianti wine region begins with a visit to a beautiful family-run estate, whose belief is that making beautiful wine is an art. Have the opportunity to walk around the small vineyards on the hills above Greve in Chianti, where the family produces their fine Chianti wines, and explore the cellars while learning about the wine making and aging process. After breakfast at the hotel, board the regional train to Monterosso with change in Pisa or La Spezia. The journey takes about 3h. Monterosso is the starting city to explore the famous Cinque Terre, the stretch of coast with 5 fishing villages perched over the sea: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. The two-day Cinque Terre Train Card is included, which allows access to the National Park area and the use of regional trains that connect the villages and of local buses.
