Day 7 - SWAKOPMUND–DAMARALAND

Today’s journey from Swakopmund to Damaraland travels inland through changing desert and savannah landscapes. Along the way, you pass Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain, which rises prominently above the surrounding terrain. You’ll also see traditional Himba homesteads scattered across the terrain. These small settlements, built from palm fibers and earth, are home to one of Namibia’s last seminomadic pastoral communities. Your Namibian guide will offer thoughtful insight into Himba history, culture, and daily life as you travel through Damaraland. Day 8 - DAMARALAND. EXCURSION TO TWYFELFONTEIN

As you journey eastward, the landscape gradually transitions from rugged desert terrain to open savannah. Upon arrival in the Etosha region, enjoy a game drive on the Epacha Private Game Reserve. This private reserve, bordering Etosha, offers a quieter and more intimate wildlife experience. With your guide, watch for giraffes, antelope, and other wildlife, with the possibility of spotting elusive predators resting in the shade.
