After breakfast departure for Syracuse to visit the largest and most powerful Greek colony in Sicily, The Archaeological Park of Neapolis, including the Greek Theatre, Roman Amphitheatre, Latomie of Paradise and Ear of Dionysius. Visit the old town centre of Ortigia, with its stunning Piazza Duomo, Cathedral and Arethusa’s Fountain. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, depart for Noto, the capital of Sicilian Baroque, with its magnificent churches, palaces and decorated façades. Free time to explore Noto. After breakfast, depart for Modica, a beautiful Baroque town in the UNESCO-listed Val di Noto, known for its elegant churches, historic palaces, picturesque streets and panoramic views. In the afternoon, continue to Piazza Armerina to visit the famous Villa Romana del Casale, renowned for its extraordinary Roman mosaics. Enjoy some wine tastings before a light lunch accompanied by wines. Next, explore the picturesque Salt Road, with views of the Stagnone Islands and ancient salt pans, among the oldest in the world and still active today.
