Welcome to Rome, the starting point of Nonna's Southern Italian Road Trip, a tourinspired by Nonna's tales and travels. Upon arrival, make your own way to your hotel to get settled in.
Depending on your arrival time, the remainder of the day is yours to settle in and start soaking up the atmosphere of the Eternal City. Perhaps take a gentle stroll through the surrounding neighbourhood, pause for your first espresso at a local café, or simply unwind after your journey.
As evening falls, meet your Tour Leader and fellow travellers for your welcome meeting before enjoying an evening at leisure exploring the streets of Rome.

If Inspiring Vacations has not provided your international airfares, please ensure you provide your flight details via your Traveller Hub portal no later than 90 days prior to travel so that your transfers can be confirmed.
If you are arriving early and have made your own arrangements prior to your tour commencing, airport transfers will not be included. However, if you are purchasing pre-nights accommodation as part of your Inspiring Vacations package, airport transfers will still be provided to the starting hotel.

After breakfast, leave the bustle of the city behind as you journey into the lesser-explored landscapes of Italy's Abruzzo region.
En route, stop in the charming town of Sulmona, renowned for its centuries-old tradition of confectionery. Your visit to the museum is self-guided, allowing you to explore at your own pace.
Continuing onward, arrive at the Costa dei Trabocchi, a striking stretch of Adriatic coastline dotted with traditional wooden fishing structures known as trabocchi, perched dramatically over the sea.
