Day 1 - South Africa from Kruger to Cape Town: arrival day (FI)
Welcome to South Africa!
Upon arrival into Johannesburg's O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB), you will be met in the arrivals hall by a local representative who will escort you to your shuttle transfer to your hotel.
The remainder of your day is at leisure.

Arrival airport transfers are included as part of your package. You will be met upon arrival at the airport and escorted to your hotel shuttle bus.
If Inspiring Vacations has not provided your international airfares, please ensure you provide your flight details via your Traveller Hub portal no later than 90 days prior to travel so that your transfers can be confirmed.
If you are arriving early and have made your own arrangements prior to your tour commencing, the Meet & Greet service will not be included. However, if you are purchasing pre-nights accommodation as part of your Inspiring Vacations package, the Meet & Greet will still be provided.
Day 2 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
Today, we embark on a journey to Greater Kruger National Park, descending into the subtropical area known as the Lowveld. We will traverse the scenic Panorama Route, exploring various lookout points along the way. Our itinerary includes stops at the Blyde River Canyon, which houses the remarkable Three Rondavels and stands as a remarkable natural marvel of Africa. We will also marvel at the breathtaking beauty of God's Window, offering a limitless vista of majestic mountains and fertile plains. Additionally, we will pay a visit to Bourke's Luck Potholes.
Arrive at our lodge late this afternoon, where the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
We begin the day with an early start as we embark on a captivating journey to discover the marvels of Kruger National Park from the comfort of our enclosed vehicle. For an exhilarating experience, you may choose to upgrade to an open-vehicle game safari through the vast expanse of Kruger National Park (see optional tours below). Spanning nearly 2 million hectares, this internationally acclaimed game reserve is renowned for its remarkable array of wildlife, boasting the highest diversity of species on the African continent. Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for the abundant flora and birdlife that thrives within the park.
After a fulfilling morning, we will return to our hotel in time for lunch, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely afternoon at your own pace.

Day 4 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
After breakfast, we embark on a journey to eSwatini (Swaziland), a self-governing kingdom located within the confines of South Africa. Renowned for its picturesque landscapes, vibrant crafts, and rich indigenous culture, eSwatini offers a delightful experience. Through an engaging cultural encounter, we will have the opportunity to interact with the warm-hearted locals and gain insights into their fascinating traditions. We will then continue our southward journey to reach our hotel, nestled amidst the majestic mountain peaks of eSwatini (Swaziland), where we will spend the night.

Day 5 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
Following breakfast, we set out on an exploration of eSwatini (Swaziland). Our first destination is Ngwenya Glass, a remarkable establishment where a talented group of eSwati craftsmen and women passionately craft exquisite pieces using recycled glass. We then proceed to The Swazi Candles Centre, where you will witness local artisans skillfully handcrafting candles. Continuing our journey, we enter the Kingdom of KwaZulu-Natal, where a harmonious blend of ancient traditions and modern cultures, encompassing both Zulu and Settler influences, has formed a thriving and vibrant society.
In the late afternoon, we arrive at our hotel, where we will spend the night, immersed in the beauty and tranquillity of the surroundings.

Day 6 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
For those interested, there is an opportunity to embark on an optional open vehicle game drive in the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve in the morning before we proceed towards Durban. Our journey in Durban begins with an informative orientation tour, taking us along the scenic Golden Mile, the lively beachfront promenade, The Point Waterfront, and the bustling harbour. This tour provides a glimpse into the multicultural and dynamic atmosphere of this vibrant coastal city. We conclude the orientation tour with a visit to the picturesque Durban Botanic Gardens, a tranquil oasis of natural beauty.
By late afternoon, we arrive at our hotel, where the rest of the evening is at your leisure.

Day 7 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
After breakfast, we head into the majestic Southern Drakensberg Mountains. We visit the impressive 300-foot-high Howick Falls, located in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands town of Howick.
Our journey continues through the Southern Midlands Meander Route, arriving at our hotel, situated on a scenic World Heritage site. Your afternoon is at leisure to soak up the surroundings, or enjoy fishing, hiking, and even horse riding in clean mountain air (all activities are optional and paid locally).
In the evening, sit down to enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 8 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
Take advantage of a complete day of relaxation to fully embrace the breathtaking scenery of the majestic Southern Drakensberg Mountains. Additionally, the resort offers a choice of leisure activities for your enjoyment. You may want to consider participating in an optional exhilarating 4x4 tour that will take you up the awe-inspiring Sani Pass, granting you access to the mountain Kingdom of Lesotho.
Enjoy an evening dinner at your hotel with a wide variety of local specialities to choose from.
Day 9 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
After breakfast, our journey takes us further south towards the Eastern Cape, marking the fourth province on our route and the cherished birthplace of Nelson Mandela. Along the way, we have the opportunity to witness the traditional way of life in the former homeland region known as the Transkei. We make a stop just outside the capital city of Mthatha, immersing ourselves in the local surroundings.
Continuing our travels, we pass by Nelson Mandela's birthplace and childhood home before finally reaching our accommodation in Chinsta East, nestled along the pristine and untainted coastline of the Eastern Cape. In the evening, delight in a delectable dinner at your lodge, showcasing a variety of local delicacies to tantalise your taste buds.

Day 10 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
This morning we awoke to the sounds of the crashing waves. The beach stretches on uninterrupted for many kilometres, and the thick indigenous beach forest is a haven for an amazing variety of birdlife. After breakfast, we set off, heading south to the Tsitsikamma Forest

Day 11 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
After breakfast, visit the spectacularly beautiful Tsitsikamma Forest, which provides scenic walking opportunities. A short walk to the Storms River Mouth offers some magnificent views of the gorge and river below.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Knysna, known as the oyster box of South Africa, for check-in at your hotel. This evening, enjoy an included dinner at the hotel.

Day 12 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
Following breakfast, we embark on an inland journey, traversing the stunning Outeniqua Pass towards Oudtshoorn. This charming town is renowned as the global hub for feathers due to its thriving ostrich industry. Our first stop is a visit to a functioning ostrich farm, where we gain fascinating insights into these magnificent creatures. Continuing our exploration, we venture into the renowned Cango Caves, where we are treated to a walk amidst the captivating dripstone formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Conclude the day with an overnight stay in Oudtshoorn, immersing ourselves in the unique ambiance of the town.

Day 13 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
After breakfast, our expedition today takes us along the renowned Route 62, a scenic route that meanders through the picturesque landscape of the Little Karoo, culminating in the vibrant city of Cape Town. Along the way, we make a stop in Calitzdorp, where we have the opportunity to sample exceptional port-style wines renowned for their exceptional quality. After this delightful detour, we continue our journey, passing through Worcester and traversing the Huguenot Tunnel, finally reaching our destination, Cape Town, during the late afternoon.

Day 14 - South Africa Kruger to Cape Town - current
Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore the wonders of Cape Town on your own. Discover the vibrant V&A Waterfront, where a variety of shops and dining options await you. Alternatively, take a leisurely stroll through the enchanting Bo Kaap neighbourhood, known for its vibrant colours and rich cultural heritage. Delve into history by visiting the historic Company Gardens or exploring the captivating museums that tell the compelling story of Cape Town's history and its connection to the slave trade.

Day 15 - Final Day - 15 Day South Africa from Kruger to Cape Town
Today marks your last day in South Africa. Depending on your flight details you may have some time at leisure before it is time to head to the airport for your flight back home.

Check out: Check-out time is generally between 10am-12pm. You are welcome to leave your luggage at the hotel reception and spend your final moments of free time exploring the area or alternatively please speak with hotel staff if you would like to extend your check-out time.
Departure transfers are included as part of your package. You will be collected from your hotel at the appropriate time and transferred to the airport to meet your flight.
If you choose to extend your stay (e.g., departing after the final tour date) and have booked your additional accommodation independently, this included service will be forfeited and no refund will be issued.
