Welcome to Turkey! Upon arrival in Istanbul, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the city. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or start exploring at your own pace. At 7pm, meet your guide and fellow travellers in the hotel lobby for a welcome meeting and briefing.

If you are arriving early and have made your own arrangements prior to your tour commencing, airport transfers will not be included. However, if you are purchasing pre-nights accommodation as part of your Inspiring Vacations package, airport transfers will still be provided to the starting hotel.
Day 2 - Antiquities of Turkey - Istanbul to Antalya - 20 - Current
Today, you'll uncover the layers of Istanbul's incredible past on a guided city tour that takes you through its most iconic landmarks. Begin at the breathtaking Blue Mosque, renowned for its six minarets and dazzling Iznik tiles, before crossing to the majestic Grand Hagia Sophia Mosque—an enduring symbol of both Byzantine and Ottoman grandeur.
Continue to the ancient Hippodrome, once the beating heart of Byzantine social life, where emperors hosted thrilling chariot races and grand public events. Then, dive into the vibrant chaos of the Grand Bazaar, one of the world's oldest and largest covered markets, where a kaleidoscope of stalls overflows with spices, textiles, ceramics, and treasures old and new.

Day 3 - Antiquities of Turkey - Istanbul to Antalya - 20 - Current
This morning, you'll depart Istanbul and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cappadocia—a region unlike anywhere else in the world. On arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel and check in, with time to settle in and take in your new surroundings.
In the afternoon, set out on a gentle guided hike through one of Cappadocia's remarkable valleys. As you walk, take in the region's otherworldly scenery: fairy chimneys shaped by centuries of wind and water, honeycombed hills dotted with ancient cave dwellings, and sweeping views that stretch to the horizon. Your guide will share insight into the region's geology and history, adding depth to the experience.
After the hike, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Whether you choose to relax at your hotel or explore the local area, take time to soak in the peaceful atmosphere and unique beauty of this extraordinary landscape.

Day 4 - Antiquities of Turkey - Istanbul to Antalya - 20 - Current
You may wish to start your day with a breathtaking 45-minute hot air balloon ride over the otherworldly landscapes of Cappadocia. Drift through deep valleys and soar up to 2,000 feet as experienced pilots guide you across this surreal terrain. Watch the sun rise over a patchwork of rock formations, ancient dwellings, and fairy chimneys, with dozens of colourful balloons dotting the sky around you—a truly unforgettable experience. This optional activity is weather-dependent and can be booked directly with your tour leader.
Afterwards, enjoy a relaxing breakfast before setting out on a scenic walk to Kizilçukur, often called the most beautiful valley in Cappadocia. As you explore, marvel at the dramatic landscape—towers of pink-tinged rock, jagged peaks, and fairy chimneys sculpted from soft volcanic tuff. This morning, disembark your Gulet and leave the coast behind as you travel inland to Pamukkale—known as the “Cotton Castle” for its striking white terraces formed by natural mineral deposits. It's a landscape unlike any other, shaped over centuries by flowing thermal waters.
Begin with a visit to the travertines, where warm, calcium-rich springs have created stepped pools and textured formations. Walking along the terraces, you'll get a close look at the natural patterns carved by time and water. The pools are still fed by hot springs, and the area has been considered a place of healing since ancient times.
Nearby lie the ruins of Hierapolis, an ancient spa city once favoured by the Romans. This morning, you have the opportunity to soar above the surreal white terraces of Pamukkale on a breathtaking hot air balloon ride.
