Welcome to Helsinki! Upon arrival make your way to your hotel and enjoy the rest of your day at your leisure. Settle in and explore this quirky city at your own pace. In the evening, join your tour leader and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner at 7pm to kick off your journey.

Day 2 - Nordmc - Norway Winter 26/27 - Helsinki to Oslo - Allocation 24 - Current
This morning, embark on a guided city tour of Helsinki, Finland's elegant capital, known as the “Daughter of the Baltic Sea” and the “White City of the North.” Discover the nation's culture, history, and traditions while visiting highlights such as Senate Square with its striking Cathedral, the lively Market Square, the Orthodox Uspenski Cathedral, the Olympic Stadium, the Parliament, Finlandia Hall, and the Sibelius Monument. The tour includes a visit to the remarkable Temppeliaukio Church—completed in 1969 and carved directly into solid granite—where copper domes, natural stone walls, and superb acoustics create one of the city's most unique and celebrated landmarks.
In the afternoon, board the legendary Santa Claus Express, an overnight sleeper train that whisks you from Helsinki deep into the Arctic landscapes of Lapland, the official home of Santa Claus.

Day 3 - Nordmc - Norway Winter 26/27 - Helsinki to Oslo - Allocation 24 - Current
We arrive early in Kemi, where a morning visit includes breakfast at the Seaview Restaurant Lumihiutale, offering serene vistas of the frozen landscape. Following breakfast, we travel to the Ajos Pier on the Bothnian Bay, a stretch of sea that transforms into solid ice during winter. Here, we board a genuine Icebreaker vessel for a truly remarkable experience. Navigating through thick sheets of ice, the ship demonstrates the sheer power and engineering of these vessels, while guests are offered the once-in-a-lifetime chance to swim among the ice in full-body waterproof survival suits—an exhilarating encounter with the Arctic environment.
After returning to the resort, enjoy lunch at leisure before visiting SnowExperience365. This extraordinary attraction showcases intricate snow and ice sculptures, as well as a year-round ice bar and ice restaurant, providing a reflective glimpse into the artistry and creativity inspired by winter. Concluding this unforgettable day, we continue our journey north to Rovaniemi, widely celebrated as the official home of Santa Claus.

Today offers a visit to the enchanting Santa Claus' Village, where the magic of Christmas comes alive all year round. Take time to explore the village's many delights: meet Santa's reindeer, browse charming souvenirs, or wander through the frosty wonderland of Snowman World. For a truly special keepsake, send a postcard from the village post office, staffed by Santa's elves, and enjoy the exclusive Arctic Circle postmark. Of course, no visit would be complete without a personal encounter with Santa himself, a highlight that captures the spirit and joy of the Arctic experience.

Begin your day travelling further north through the picturesque winter landscape, with a stop in Sodankylä for a brief outdoor visit to the historic old church. Continue to a husky farm for your Inspiring Sight: a thrilling Husky Safari.
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by the enthusiastic barks of the friendly huskies. Before setting off on your sledding adventure, you will receive a briefing on how to control the sleds. After the safari, return to the farm to warm up with hot berry juice by an open fire and enjoy a conversation with the head musher, learning fascinating insights about these incredible animals.
Continue to Saariselkä for your Inspiring Stay. Tonight, you'll enjoy the unique experience of staying in a glass-roofed cabin, designed to let you sleep beneath the starry skies and, with some luck, witness the magical Northern Lights. These well-insulated Aurora cabins provide a warm and comfortable retreat, even in the coldest of temperatures.

Your Husky Safari includes thermal clothing (overalls, boots and mittens if needed). We recommend wearing at least two warm layers of clothes and bringing your own gloves and boots for maximum comfort.
Please note that the husky safari is dependent on weather conditions. If the temperature rises above 10°C, the huskies are unable to run, and the experience will be limited to a visit around the husky farm. For Autumn departures, the huskies will pull an ATV, while for Winter departures, they will pull a traditional sled. Either way, this is a wonderful opportunity to meet these incredible animals and learn about their life in the Arctic.
Day 6 - Nordmc - Norway Winter 26/27 - Helsinki to Oslo - Allocation 24 - Current
After breakfast today, continue your journey north with a stop in Inari to visit the renowned SIIDA Museum, offering insights into the culture and history of the Sámi people and the Arctic region. Afterward, cross the border into the stunning landscapes of Norway, arriving in Karasjok later in the day.

Departing Karasjok early this morning, we continue our Arctic journey toward Norway's northernmost point — the North Cape (Nordkapp).
At this dramatic headland, sheer cliffs rise above the Arctic Ocean, offering sweeping views across the water. Mark the occasion with an Inspiring Taste of sparkling wine, and take time to explore the visitor centre and the surrounding landscape at your own pace.
Later, travel to Honningsvåg, a small fishing village known for its colourful waterfront and friendly atmosphere. The afternoon is free for you to discover the town independently, perhaps strolling the harbour or visiting a local museum.

Departing the North Cape region after breakfast, begin your journey south along Norway's stunning coastline to Alta. Upon arrival, enjoy some free time before a visit to the Alta Museum and its renowned World Heritage Rock Art Centre, showcasing fascinating prehistoric carvings.
This evening at approximately 8:00 pm, embark on a scenic drive around Alta for another chance to hunt the Northern Lights, experiencing this natural wonder from a fresh perspective.

After breakfast, depart from Alta and continue south to Tromsø, the largest city in Northern Norway, situated 350 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. Renowned for its vibrant nightlife, Tromsø offers an array of local pubs and restaurants specializing in fresh Arctic ingredients.
En route, travel through the breathtaking Lyngen Alps, a majestic mountain range flanked by the Lyngen Fjord to the east and Ullsfjorden to the west, offering spectacular scenery along the way.
Upon arrival in Tromsø, enjoy time at leisure to explore this vibrant city, often referred to as the Gateway to the Arctic.

Today is yours to enjoy at leisure, with plenty of options to explore Tromsø's unique offerings or partake in an optional tour. You might choose to visit one of the city's fascinating museums, such as the Polar Museum, where you can learn about Arctic exploration, or the Tromsø Museum, which offers insight into the region's natural history and Sámi culture. For those seeking spectacular views, a visit to the Arctic Cathedral or a ride on the Fjellheisen cable car for panoramic vistas of the surrounding fjords and mountains is highly recommended. If you prefer a more relaxed experience, take a stroll through the charming streets and enjoy the local cafes, or explore the vibrant harbour area.

After breakfast, we depart Tromsø and travel toward Sortland, a small coastal town set within the Vesterålen archipelago. Nicknamed the “Blue City” for the distinctive blue tones adorning many of its buildings, Sortland is framed by sweeping fjords and rugged mountains.
The journey offers ever-changing scenery, with the possibility of spotting seabirds, reindeer, or other Arctic wildlife along the route. On arrival, take time to appreciate the town's relaxed pace and welcoming atmosphere, surrounded by the unspoiled beauty of northern Norway.

Leaving Sortland, we travel toward Svolvær, a charming town in the heart of the Lofoten archipelago. Surrounded by steep mountain peaks and traditional red wooden houses, Svolvær provides an ideal base for exploring the islands' dramatic landscapes and fishing heritage.
Along the way, we stop in Stokmarknes to visit the Norwegian Coastal Express Museum (Hurtigrutemuseet), the birthplace of the famous Hurtigruten voyage. Here, you can step aboard the retired MS Finnmarken from 1956, wander through its restored interiors, and discover the story of how coastal shipping has linked Norway's remote communities for more than a century.
After the museum visit, we continue our journey to Svolvær, including a short ferry crossing through the scenic waterways. Upon arrival, the remainder of the afternoon and evening are at leisure to relax or begin exploring the town at your own pace.

After checking out of the hotel, travel by bus to Evenes to board a flight to the captivating Norwegian capital, Oslo. Upon arrival, a short transfer will take us to our centrally located hotel. Known for its lush green spaces and rich cultural heritage, Oslo is home to several museums, many of which are situated on the scenic Bygdøy Peninsula, including the Norwegian Maritime Museum by the waterfront. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy the rest of the day or evening at leisure, exploring this pedestrian-friendly city at your own pace.

Today begins with a guided city tour of Oslo, taking in some of the capital's most notable landmarks, including the Parliament building, guarded by its iconic lion statues, the National Theatre, and the elegant Royal Palace — the official residence of Norway's monarch.
We also make a stop at Akershus Castle and Fortress (viewed from the outside), a medieval stronghold built in the 14th century by King Håkon V. Long regarded as a national symbol, the fortress is now a popular gathering place for both visitors and locals.
The afternoon is free for you to explore Oslo at your own pace before coming together this evening for a farewell dinner — a chance to reflect on the remarkable experiences and memories gathered over the past weeks.

The ‘Norway in a Nutshell' itinerary between Oslo and Bergen is unguided. The route is Norway's most famous independent trip. The entire journey connects seamlessly and is well signed in English. Transport service times are made to connect together making the whole trip effortless.To make the journey easier, your luggage will be transferred to Bergen ahead of you. Please make sure to take an overnight bag for your stay in Flam. Your luggage (max. 1 bag per person) must be given to the reception at your hotel (Thon Hotel Opera) by 6:30am. Luggage is picked up from reception and will be available in your hotel in Bergen, the following evening.
Day 17 - Southern Fjords Extension - Oslo to Bergen - Allocation 20 - Current
After breakfast, embark on the morning departure from Flåm, beginning with one of the tour's most spectacular highlights—a fjord cruise through the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord to Gudvangen. This breathtaking journey showcases Norway's pristine landscapes, steep mountain cliffs, and tranquil waters.
Upon arrival in Gudvangen, board a scenic bus ride to Voss, passing roaring waterfalls and charming countryside farms along the way. In Voss enjoy some free time, before making your way to the Bergen Railway for a relaxing and picturesque train ride to Bergen.

Today is yours to explore Bergen at your own pace. Nestled along Norway's west coast and surrounded by majestic mountains, Bergen is often called the Gateway to the Fjords.
We recommend starting your day in Bryggen, the historic Hanseatic quarter, where you can wander through charming alleyways lined with centuries-old wooden buildings. For panoramic views of the city and surrounding fjords, take the Fløibanen funicular railway to the top of Mount Fløyen—a must-see highlight of any visit to Bergen.
No trip to Bergen is complete without a visit to the lively fish market, where you can sample fresh local seafood. In the evening, consider dining at one of the many renowned seafood restaurants along the harbour, savoring the flavors of Norway's coastal cuisine.
