Day 1 - Indias Golden Triangle Uncovered - Arrival Delhi flight
Welcome to Delhi!Following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, please make your own way to your hotel (check-in time is 14:00). The rest of the day is at leisure to unwind and relax in the comforts of your hotel.
India's capital and a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis that beautifully blends the ancient with the modern. Among the soaring skyscrapers, remnants of a bygone era in the form of monuments and temples, serve as silent reminders of India's rich legacy. Delhi is a food lover's paradise, offering something to please every palate. The city boasts an unlimited variety of cuisines across different price brackets and experiences—ranging from North Indian street food to international fare, and from roadside dhabas to fine dining. Enjoy your first day in Delhi!

Day 2 - Golden Triangle Uncovered - Delhi to Jaipur - 20 - Current
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, start your day with a guided tour of New Delhi, showcasing the British legacy. Enjoy a photo stop at the impressive India Gate, drive past the Parliament buildings and Rashtrapati Bhawan, and visit the nearby Agrasen ki Baoli stepwell. Next, explore Gandhi Smriti, where Mahatma Gandhi spent his last 144 days, now a National Memorial.
We will continue to Humayun's Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage site from the 16th century, surrounded by lush gardens and intricate marble inlay. The tomb was the first garden tomb in the Indian subcontinent, a wonderful example of early Mughal architecture.
In the afternoon, embark on a guided tour of the historic Shahjahanabad. Walk past the Red Fort and along Chandni Chowk, visiting the Jain and Sikh temples, and exploring Paranthe Wali Gali and Kinari Bazar, along with the vibrant Spice Market; enjoy sampling local snacks at various shops during our 2-3 hour exploration.
After a day filled with sightseeing, we'll return to the hotel.

Day 3 - Golden Triangle Uncovered - Delhi to Jaipur - 20 - Current
After breakfast, drive to the Mughal city of Agra. On arrival, check into your hotel to freshen up before enjoying a guided tour of Agra.
Visit the Agra Fort, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture and the seat and stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. Shah Jahan, the Taj's creator, spent the last years of his life imprisoned at the fort by his son Aurangzeb. It was built in the late 1560's by their predecessor, Akbar, with later embellishments by Jehangir, his son, and Shah Jahan, his grandson.
The rest of the day can be spent as you wish.

Day 4 - Golden Triangle Uncovered - Delhi to Jaipur - 20 - Current
Early in the morning, begin your day with a spectacular sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal celebrated for its architectural beauty.
Built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal, this exquisite white marble mausoleum took 22 years to complete. Witness the magical interplay of light as the sun rises over the tomb. Afterward, return to your hotel for breakfast. Later, drive to Jaipur and check in at your hotel.
Known as the Pink City, Jaipur is rich in Rajput history, characterised by its stunning forts and palaces, including the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Amber Fort. Experience the vibrant charm of this bustling capital city before enjoying an overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 5 - Golden Triangle Uncovered - Delhi to Jaipur - 20 - Current
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a morning visit to Amber town, including a photo stop at the iconic Hawa Mahal, known as the Palace of Winds. This five-storied marvel features a stunning pyramidal facade and intricate overhanging windows.
Explore the charming town surrounding Amber Fort, where you'll find historic temples, traditional sweet shops, and the Panna Meena stepwell, all set against the backdrop of the Aravali mountain range. With your guide, soak in the vibrant atmosphere of this ancient settlement, originally inhabited by the Meena tribe.
Continue sightseeing at Amber Fort, constructed in the 17th century by Maharaja Mansingh, a general under Mughal Emperor Akbar. Once the seat of power before the City Palace was built, the fort boasts impressive battlements and overlooks Moat Lake. Take a jeep ride to the main gate and tour the beautifully designed chambers and hallways.

Day 6 - Golden Triangle with Udaipur - Jaipur to Udaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to Udaipur.
Udaipur – the ‘City of Lakes', is the capital of the erstwhile kingdom of Mewar, one of the oldest surviving dynasties in the world and was established around 1567 A.D. Thechequered history of Mewar is showcased in the city of Udaipur, which is akin to an oasis in the desert state of Rajasthan. It is a rich and beguiling tapestry of lakeside palaces, forts, temples, havelis and gardens, reflecting the varied influences of thecenturies. Also called ‘Venice of the East', Udaipur is located in the Aravalli ranges of the royal state of Rajasthan. Surrounded by ancient mountains and set on the edge of three lakes, it is a beautiful old city with narrow lanes meandering through it.

Day 7 - Golden Triangle & Udaipur Uncovered - Udaipur to Delhi - 20 - Current
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a half-day tour of Udaipur.
Start with a visit to the City Palace, built in 1567 on the banks of Lake Pichola, featuring a stunning façade made up of four major palaces. Enter through the Tripolia gate, which leads to courtyards, corridors, and gardens. Afterwards, explore the charming old city of Udaipur on a walking tour.
The afternoon is free to explore and spend how you wish.

Day 8 - Golden Triangle & Udaipur Uncovered - Udaipur to Delhi - 20 - Current
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before transferring to the airport for a short flight to Delhi.
Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel, where the rest of the day is free to spend as you wish. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Special Information:Your flight documentation will be given to you on tour by your tour leader.Your internal flight for this day is arranged by our local partner. Specific flight details will be provided by your Tour Leader upon arrival and cannot be provided in advance. Please note that these group flights cannot be upgraded, amended, or checked in online. Your included flight allows one checked bag up to 25kg (55 lbs), and one 7kg (15 lbs) carry-on, with options to increase your luggage allowance at the airport if needed. This morning after breakfast, please check out and make your own way to the airport for your included flight to Colombo.

On arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), make your own way to your accommodation, which is situated on the out-skirts of Colombo.

Day 10 - Sri Lanka Uncovered - Colombo to Sigiriya - Allocation 26 - Current
This morning after breakfast, meet your tour leader and the rest of your group for a welcome meeting and brief of the day's activities.
We will then take some time to explore Colombo, a city with a long history as a port on ancient east-west trade routes, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. This heritage is reflected in its architecture, mixing colonial buildings with high-rises and shopping malls.
We will also visit the Colombo National Museum. This museum takes visitors through Sri Lankan history, housed in a neo-Baroque building constructed by William Henry Gregory, Governor of Ceylon, in 1877. Exhibits are dedicated to each of Sri Lanka's historical kingdoms, with informational display boards providing insights such as the meaning behind the mudras (gestures and poses) depicted in Sri Lanka's Buddha statues.
You will arrive at your hotel in Kalutara during the afternoon, with the evening at leisure.

As an alternative, Polonnaruwa Museum will be visited instead.Please note that the Tangerine Hotel's main restaurant is closed for renovations from 15th May to 30th September 2026. Guests will be accommodated in one of the hotel's two other restaurants, with table allocation based on occupancy.
Day 11 - Sri Lanka Uncovered - Colombo to Sigiriya - Allocation 26 - Current
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the charming town of Balapitiya, where you'll embark on a scenic boat ride along the Madu River. The river is home to 64 islands, and one notable stop is Cinnamon Island, known locally as “Kurundu Doowa.” During your visit, you'll gain a fascinating insight into the process of cinnamon production, as Sri Lanka is the world's largest producer of pure cinnamon!
Next, head to the historic Galle Fort, renowned for its impressive fortifications. This city beautifully blends the past with the present. A UNESCO World Heritage site since 1988, Galle Fort showcases the architectural influences of the Portuguese, Dutch, and British, making it a captivating place to explore.

Day 12 - Sri Lanka Uncovered - Colombo to Sigiriya - Allocation 26 - Current
After breakfast we leave for Yala National Park. On arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax.
In the afternoon, set out on a guided game drive exploring the wildlife and plant life of Yala National Park. Being one of the largest parks in Sri Lanka, it is a place where you may sight the rare leopard. The game drive takes place in the late afternoon, returning around sunset, which is an optimal time for animal viewing.

Yala National Park is closed for routine maintenance in September and October under the direction of the local government. The exact dates will not be advised until 1 to 2 months prior to departure. During this time Udawalawe National Park or Yala National Park (Block 5) will be visited and offers equal animal sighting opportunities.

Day 13 - Sri Lanka Uncovered - Colombo to Sigiriya - Allocation 26 - Current
After a leisurely breakfast, we leave for Haputale.
En route we stop in Ella, before continuing to Nine Arch Bridge, also called the Bridge in the Sky. This is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. The construction of the bridge is generally attributed to a local Ceylonese builder, in consultation with British engineers. It is located in Demodara, between Ella and Demodara railway stations. The surrounding area has seen a steady increase in tourism due to the bridge's architectural ingenuity and the greenery of the nearby hillsides.
Continue on to your hotel in Haputale, where you will arrive this evening.

Day 14 - Sri Lanka Uncovered - Colombo to Sigiriya - Allocation 26 - Current
Enjoy a leisurely morning at your hotel in the hilly surrounds of Haputale.
This afternoon, transfer to Ella Railway Station to board the scenic train back to Haputale. The journey takes you through tea country, with views of rolling hills, waterfalls and plantations along the way.
Return to your hotel this evening.

It is not possible to confirm the train ticket reservation in advance, as Sri Lanka Railway has a manual system for reservations. Tickets can only be booked 30 days prior to departure. The 1st and 2nd class is basic but has air-conditioning. The non-air conditioned 3rd class sometimes is the only option based on availability. On the rare occasion the train is fully booked we will conduct the route by road.

After breakfast, we leave Haputale and head to Nuwara Eliya. The drive takes in tea country views and waterfalls along the way.
On arrival, visit a tea plantation and factory. Here you will enjoy the absolute tea experience, from the moment the young tea leaves are plucked from the plantation, through to being processed in the factory to make a cup of tea. If you are interested, the tea factory is a good place to purchase quality tea.
Return to your hotel this evening.

Day 16 - Sri Lanka Uncovered - Colombo to Sigiriya - Allocation 26 - Current
After breakfast we leave for Kandy. The route passes tea country and waterfalls.
On arrival in Kandy, enjoy a city tour. Kandy, the Hill Capital (1514 to 1815 AD), was originally known as Senkadagala. Kandy was declared a UNESCO heritage site in 1988. The style and character of the Sri Lankan civilisation at the time is well articulated in the heart of the city itself, with its lake, the temples including the Temple of the Tooth Relic (visit at own expense) and the preserved ruins of the royal palaces.
This evening, attend a traditional Sri Lankan cultural performance before returning to the hotel.

Day 17 - Sri Lanka Uncovered - Colombo to Sigiriya - Allocation 26 - Current
After breakfast we proceed to Sigiriya, stopping on route to visit Dambulla cave temple. Built in the first century BC, it is recognized to be the largest cave sanctuary in the world with its 2000 m2 of walls and ceilings painted more than 150 Buddha images whose largest engraved in the rock reaches 14 metres high. We'll proceed with a visit to the Spice Garden in Matale before heading to Sigiriya Jungles Resort, where you'll enjoy stunning views of the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
This afternoon, set out on an exclusively private jeep safari at the Minneriya National Park to witness the unique phenomenon of elephant gathering. During the dry season, from June to September, hundreds of elephants gather around the Minneriya Tank for water. Such a large number of elephants could not be sighted at one place, anywhere else in the world!
Tonight, enjoy a group dinner and celebrate your new friendships.

Day 18 - Sri Lanka Uncovered - Colombo to Sigiriya - Allocation 26 - Current
You will have an early start today to commence the day's sightseeing. Proceed to Sigiriya Rock Fortress and climb the Sigiriya Rock, one of the most extraordinary artistic complexes of its time (477 to 498 AD). Declared a UNESCO heritage site in 1982, this citadel draws artistic and architectural curiosity from around the globe.
Return to the hotel before taking part in an Inspiring Taste cooking demonstration of Sri Lankan rice and curry preparation and enjoy a Sri Lankan lunch overlooking the paddy fields.
This afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the medieval capital city of Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa was declared a UNESCO heritage site in 1982. After the demise of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa became the middle historic capital of Sri Lanka (1017 to 1235 AD).
After an insightful day on the road, you will reach your hotel at approximately 7pm. We suggest dinner at your hotel or somewhere nearby to ensure a restful night ahead.

After breakfast, we depart Sigiriya for the drive to Negombo (approximately 5 hours). On arrival, enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure to explore the coast, the local activity or to relax by the pool.

This morning, enjoy a visit to the Fish Market. Negombo is home for the Island's second largest fish market, as locals call – “Lellama”
