Welcome to Algeria. On arrival in Algiers you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, take a self-guided walk past the Sacré-Cœur Cathedral, Audin Square, the Grande Poste, and Emir Abdelkader Square, finishing at Algiers' waterfront with views over the Mediterranean — or simply relax at your hotel.

Arrival airport transfers are included as part of your package. You will be met upon arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
If Inspiring Vacations has not provided your international airfares, please ensure you provide your flight details via your Traveller Hub portal no later than 90 days prior to travel so that your transfers can be confirmed.
If you are arriving early and have made your own arrangements prior to your tour commencing, airport transfers will not be included. However, if you are purchasing pre-nights accommodation as part of your Inspiring Vacations package, airport transfers will still be provided to the starting hotel.
This morning after breakfast, set out to explore Algiers.
Visit Bastion 23, also known as the Palais des Rais, then continue to the Basilica of Notre-Dame d'Afrique for views over the Bay of Algiers. Explore the Upper Casbah and the Citadel of Algiers, wandering its artisan shops, mosques and fountains.
After lunch, continue to the Mustapha Pacha Palace, now the Museum of Calligraphy and Illumination, view the Ketchaoua Mosque from outside, and finish at Martyrs' Square.Enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 3 - Algiers [Plane] Ghardaïa
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Ghardaïa, a historic desert city in the M'zab Valley and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
On arrival enjoy lunch and the remainder of the day at leisure.Dinner is included at your hotel.

Day 4 - Ghardaïa [Plane] Algiers
After breakfast, discover the M'zab Valley and its ksour. Begin at El Atteuf, the oldest settlement in the region, then continue to Beni Isguen, a well-preserved fortified town that offers an insight into Mozabite culture.
Enjoy lunch and explore the local market of Ghardaïa, known for its carpets, silver jewellery, dates and spices.
This evening, transfer to the airport for your night flight back to Algiers, where you will spend the night.

Day 5 - Algiers [Bus] Djemila [Bus] Constantine
After breakfast, depart Algiers and travel to Djemila.
On arrival, enjoy lunch at your own leisure before visiting the Djemila archaeological site and its museum, renowned for their remarkably preserved Roman ruins and mosaics. Continue on towards Constantine.
Enjoy the evening at leisure.

After breakfast, depart Constantine for Timgad, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in North Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its grid layout, monumental arch, forum, temples and amphitheatre.
Return to Constantine for a panoramic tour of the City of Bridges, known for its cliffs and suspended bridges.

Day 7 - Constantine [Bus] Algiers
After breakfast we visit the World War I Monument, then walk through the Old Medina and cross the Sidi M'Cid Bridge for views over the Rhumel Gorge. Explore the Ahmed Bey Palace and the former Medersa, now the Artisan House.
After lunch we cross the Mellah Slimane Bridge and visit the Cirta Museum and the Emir Abdelkader Mosque, before travelling on to Algiers.

Day 8 - Algiers [Bus] Cherchell [Bus] Tipaza [Bus] Algiers
After breakfast, depart early for Cherchell to visit the Archaeological Museum and the Roman remains, including the theatre, forum and western baths.
Continue to Tipaza and explore the Tipaza archaeological site and its museum. On the return to Algiers, stop at the Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania.

Day 9 - Algiers [Plane] Tunis
Start your day with a relaxed breakfast at the hotel before heading to the airport for your flight to Tunisia — a country of golden coastlines, ancient medinas, and rich Mediterranean charm.
Upon arrival, sit back and relax as you're transferred to your hotel, ready to soak in the first sights and sounds of this captivating destination. The rest of the evening is yours to unwind at leisure — perhaps with a stroll to get your bearings, or simply relaxing and settling in before the adventures ahead.

This morning after breakfast, begin your discovery of Tunis with a visit to the Bardo Museum and its collection of Roman mosaics. Continue into the Medina of Tunis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where narrow alleys are lined with palaces, souks, artisan workshops and mosques. After lunch, visit a local olive oil factory to see how Tunisia's celebrated oil is pressed, then sample a selection straight from the source. This evening, enjoy a warm welcome dinner.

Day 11 - Tunis [Bus] Sfax
After breakfast, depart Tunis and travel south along the coast to Sousse to visit the Ribat and the Great Mosque. The coastal road strings together two of Tunisia's great set pieces, and from Sousse you continue to El Djem to stand beneath its Roman amphitheatre, one of the largest in the world. Enjoy a local lunch before continuing on to Sfax, where you will spend the night. Dinner is included at your hotel.

Eclipse Solar Departure July 2027 - Itinerary Change Information
To view the solar eclipse on 2nd August under the best conditions, the itinerary will differ today and tomorrow to accommodate this.
On this day, instead of driving to Sfax, you will stay overnight in El Djem, at the Dar Ammar Hotel (4-star).
Day 12 - Sfax [Bus] Tozeur
After breakfast, leave Sfax and journey across southern Tunisia to Matmata, a troglodyte village known for its underground dwellings carved into the earth.
This is the day the landscape turns cinematic, running from these cave dwellings to the date palms of Tozeur on the rim of the Sahara.
Continue through Kebili to the oasis town of Tozeur. A local lunch is included in Matmata.

On this day, 2nd August, you will witness the solar eclipse, which will occur between 8am and 10:30am. You will leave El Djem for Sfax to witness the eclipse. To do so, an early breakfast will be provided, with departure at 6:30am to reach the viewing area in Sfax by 7:30am. After the solar eclipse observation, we will continue on to Matmata, Kebili, and Tozeur as per the regular itinerary.
After breakfast, set out by 4x4 to Ong Jmel and the Star Wars filming locations. The dunes around Tozeur stood in for another planet on screen, and up close the salt flats and palm oases are just as otherworldly. Visit nearby Nefta and its oasis, then around midday head to the Sahara Lounge, set in the middle of the Tozeur palm oasis, for lunch and some free time to explore.
Passengers may also choose to join an optional horse-drawn carriage ride through Tozeur's palm groves and old town (to be organised and paid on the ground). Return to your hotel, where dinner is included. The evening is at leisure.

Day 14 - Tozeur [Bus] Kairouan
After breakfast, depart Tozeur and travel through Gafsa to Kairouan. Kairouan is the spiritual heart of Tunisia, its medina and shrines among the most revered in the Islamic world. This afternoon, visit the Medina of Kairouan, the Mausoleum of Sidi Sahbi and the Aghlabid Basins.

Day 15 - Kairouan [Bus] Tunis
After breakfast, begin the day at the Great Mosque of Kairouan. With its vast marble courtyard and forest of ancient columns, it makes a memorable last stop in the interior before you head for the coast. Travel back towards the capital to explore the archaeological remains of ancient Carthage, then continue to the hilltop village of Sidi Bou Said, famous for its whitewashed houses and blue doors looking out over the Mediterranean. This evening, gather with your group for a farewell dinner.

Day 16 - Tunis [Plane] Casablanca
Start your day with a relaxed breakfast at the hotel before heading to the airport for your flight to Morocco — a country of sweeping deserts, walled imperial cities, and vibrant souks.On arrival into Casablanca, join a transfer to the hotel and spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.Dinner with your group tonight will be at your hotel.

Day 17 - Casablanca [Bus] Rabat
After breakfast, we'll embark on a scenic morning tour of Casablanca, Morocco's bustling seaside city with a blend of modern elegance and historical charm. Begin along the Anfa Boulevard, where stylish boutiques and lush palm trees frame the streets, and continue to Nation's Square, a vibrant hub of local life. Our tour concludes with the exterior the impressive Hassan II Mosque, a marvel of Moroccan craftsmanship perched on the Atlantic coast. Its vast courtyard and intricate interiors accommodate over 200,000 worshippers, making it one of the largest mosques in the world.
In the afternoon, we'll travel north along the scenic coastline toward Morocco's capital, Rabat. Upon arrival, you'll have the remainder of the day to immerse yourself in Rabat's captivating mix of ancient history and cosmopolitan charm.

Day 18 - Rabat [Bus] Meknes [Bus] Fes
This morning after breakfast, we'll set out to explore the vibrant capital of Morocco, Rabat. Begin with a visit to the stunning Royal Palace, marveling at its impressive exterior and surrounding gardens. Next is the Mohammed V Mausoleum, where Morocco's royal heritage is honored, before admiring the intricate design of the iconic Hassan Tower, a landmark dating back to the 12th century.
After lunch, we'll journey to Meknes, a city rich in imperial history. Here, we'll visit the Mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ismaïl, known for its ornate architecture and spiritual significance. Walk through the grandiose gates of Bab Khemis and Bab el Mansour, impressive fortifications adorned with zellij tiles and intricate carvings, symbolizing Meknes' status as a royal city. Later, we'll travel onward to Fes, a city celebrated for its medieval charm and enduring traditions, where a new adventure awaits.

Enjoy a full day of touring through Fes, considered the religious capital of the country. Founded in the eighth century by Idriss II, it is considered one of the four imperial capitals.
Be guided through the most emblematic places, the exterior of the Royal Palace and its seven gates, the Jewish Quarter, the fortress that has the best view of Fez el Bali, and a visit of the Medina or old city where we will access the famous Bab Bou Jeloud Gate. The city walls create a labyrinth that protect its interior formed by hundreds of organised alleys. Day 20 - Fes [Bus] Midelt [Bus] Erfoud
This morning after breakfast, trade the hustle and bustle of Fes for the Middle Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert, as we reach the remote regions of the country.
We will pass Ifrane, a small mountain village known for its ski resort, before arriving at Midelt, the capital of this region. Here you will have time to enjoy the scenery of the surrounding area.
In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Erfoud, located on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Dinner with your group tonight will be at your hotel.

Day 21 - Erfoud [Bus] Tinerhir [Bus] Ouarzazate
This morning after breakfast, we journey to the magnificent oasis town of Tinerhir, surrounded by lush palm groves and ancient kasbahs. From here, we'll explore Todra Gorge, where sheer cliffs soar over 250 meters, creating a breathtaking natural corridor.
Tonight, we'll settle in Ouarzazate, Morocco's “Gateway to the Sahara” and cinematic capital. Famous for its striking desert vistas, Ouarzazate has been the backdrop for legendary films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Kingdom of Heaven, as well as iconic scenes from Game of Thrones. Enjoy the evening surrounded by the area's film-making legacy, golden dunes, and rich Berber culture.

Day 22 - Ouarzazate [Bus] Marrakech
We will depart for the Kasbah Taourirt this morning, once owned by the Pacha Glaoui, then continue to the fortified city of Ait Benhaddou for a visit to its famous ancient kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From here, cross the High Atlas Mountains at the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass, reaching an elevation of 2,260 metres.
On arrival in Marrakech, we will enjoy a guided tour of the city, starting off in the grandiose Menara Gardens, which feature a side pavilion and countless olive trees. Visit the exterior of the minaret of the Koutoubia, twin sister of the Giralda of Seville. Once inside the semi-ancient part of the city, marvel at the Bahia Palace, owned by a nobleman of the city. Finally, reach Jemaa el Fnaa square, one of the most interesting places in Morocco from where we will access the souks and medina, home to artisans of wood, ceramics, furriers and so much more!
