Day 1 - Pre-Cruise Stay in Tokyo
Today your cherry blossom adventure begins as you depart Australia on your included international flight to Tokyo. Sit back, relax and enjoy your overnight flight to the Land of the Rising Sun.
Airport transfers are not included. Our transfer portal offers the option to book your airport transfers for an easier arrival experience (additional charges apply). Access to this portal will be available through your Traveller Hub once your booking is confirmed.Hotel check-in time is at 3pm. If arriving prior to this, you will be able to leave your luggage with hotel reception and explore your surroundings until check-in becomes available. The hotel may grant early check-in, however this is strictly subject to availability and at the hotel's discretion
Day 2 - NCL Cruise onboard NCL JADE - Japan & South Korea
Today is yours to explore Tokyo at your own pace.
You might begin with a visit to Meiji Shrine, set within the leafy expanse of Yoyogi Park, before walking through the surrounding Harajuku district. The Imperial Palace East Gardens offer a peaceful escape in the heart of the city, while Asakusa is home to Sensoji, Tokyo's oldest Buddhist temple, with its grand Kaminarimon Gate and Nakamise shopping street.
For sweeping views, head up Tokyo Tower or the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building observation decks. Ginza is the place for elegant shopping and dining, while Ueno Park offers museums, gardens and a relaxing afternoon stroll. Tonight is at your leisure to enjoy a meal in the city.

Day 3 - NCL Cruise onboard NCL JADE - Japan & South Korea
This morning after breakfast, check out of your hotel and make your way to Yokohama Daikoku Pier, the cruise port serving Tokyo, where Norwegian Jade awaits. Yokohama is reached in around 45 minutes by train from central Tokyo, or a little longer by road.
Once on board, settle into your stateroom and begin exploring the ship's many bars, restaurants and lounges. Today, Norwegian Jade calls into Shimizu, your gateway to Mt Fuji. On a clear day, the snow-capped peak provides one of Japan's most recognisable backdrops.
You may like to head to Miho-no-Matsubara, a black sand beach famed for its pine grove and views across Suruga Bay to Mt Fuji. The Nihondaira plateau offers another excellent vantage point, while the Tokaido Hiroshige Art Museum showcases ukiyo-e woodblock prints by one of Japan's most celebrated artists. Return to the ship in time for dinner on board.

Day 5 - NCL Cruise onboard NCL JADE - Japan & South Korea
Welcome to Nagoya, one of Japan's great industrial cities and the heart of the country's manufacturing region. The city blends futuristic architecture with deep cultural roots.
Highlights include Nagoya Castle with its golden tiger-fish ornaments, the tranquil Atsuta Jingu Shrine set among ancient cedar trees, and the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology. Nagoya TV Tower offers wide views across the city. Make your way back to the ship in time for departure.

Day 6 - NCL Cruise onboard NCL JADE - Japan & South Korea
Today's port differs depending on your sailing date. Both calls are full-day stops on the Japanese coast, offering a different flavour of Japan beyond the cruise's main industrial and southern cities.
Variant A - 5 March 2027 sailing: Kobe (gateway to Osaka & Kyoto)Norwegian Jade docks at Kobe, the cruise port for the Osaka and Kyoto area, with a full day in port from morning until evening.
From Kobe, the shinkansen reaches Kyoto in around fifty minutes, where the vermilion gates of Fushimi Inari-taisha shrine climb the wooded slopes of Mt Inari and the Golden Pavilion of Kinkaku-ji sits in classical strolling gardens. The historic Gion district is famed for its preserved townhouses and is particularly beautiful when the cherry trees along the Shirakawa canal are in bloom.
Closer to port, Osaka Castle and its surrounding park are a fine spot for blossom viewing, and the lanes of Dotonbori offer some of Japan's most lively street food. Kobe itself is known for its harbour views, its refined dining scene and the Ikuta Shrine in the city centre. Return to the ship before sailing.

Variant B - 23 March 2027 sailing: TokushimaNorwegian Jade calls into Tokushima, a relaxed prefectural capital on the island of Shikoku. The city is best known as the birthplace of Awa Odori, one of Japan's most spirited summer dance festivals.
Mt Bizan sits at the heart of the city and offers wide views over the Yoshino River delta to the Seto Inland Sea, accessible by ropeway. The Awa Odori Kaikan museum brings the dance tradition to life year round with daily performances. A short journey beyond the city, the Naruto Whirlpools form where the Pacific meets the Inland Sea, best viewed from the Uzu-no-Michi walkway. Return to the ship in the late afternoon.

Day 7 - NCL Cruise onboard NCL JADE - Japan & South Korea
Norwegian Jade calls into Kochi today, a coastal city on the island of Shikoku that combines mountain scenery with seaside charm.
Kochi Castle is one of only twelve original castles still standing in Japan and offers a fine example of feudal-era architecture. The Makino Botanical Garden, named after Japan's pioneering botanist Tomitaro Makino, is a beautiful spot for a quiet wander. Katsurahama Beach is famed for its pebbled shoreline and statue of samurai Sakamoto Ryoma. Return to the ship in time for dinner.

Welcome to Hiroshima. Forever associated with the events of August 1945, the city has rebuilt itself into a thriving and forward-looking metropolis while preserving the memory of that day for visitors from around the world.
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Peace Memorial Park, including the iconic A-Bomb Dome, are essential visits and offer a moving and respectful experience. A short ferry away, Miyajima Island is home to the famous floating torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine and a population of friendly sika deer. Hiroshima Castle, beautifully reconstructed, is also worth seeing. Return to the ship in time for departure.

Kagoshima sits at the southern tip of Kyushu, overlooked by the active volcano of Sakurajima which provides one of Japan's most dramatic backdrops.
Wander the beautifully landscaped Sengan-en gardens, with their views across the bay to Sakurajima, or take in the city from the lookout at Shiroyama Park. The ruins of Tsurumaru Castle and the surrounding moat are also worth exploring. Make your way back on board in the late afternoon.

Welcome to Nagasaki, a port city with a long and unique history of international trade and exchange. Like Hiroshima, it carries the weight of the events of 1945 and offers visitors a chance to reflect.
The Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and Peace Park provide an important and moving visit. Glover Garden, on a hillside overlooking the harbour, preserves the homes of nineteenth century European traders and offers fine views over the city. The Mt Inasa ropeway carries you to one of the world's most celebrated nighttime panoramas. Return to the ship for dinner.

Day 11 - NCL Cruise onboard NCL JADE - Japan & South Korea
Today you cross from Japan to South Korea, with Norwegian Jade calling into the volcanic island of Jeju. The port city of Seogwipo sits on the island's southern coast and is known for its waterfalls, lava-formed coastline and gentle climate.
You may like to visit the Cheonjiyeon and Jeongbang waterfalls, walk along the cliffs at Jusangjeolli with their distinctive hexagonal basalt columns, or take in the lush gardens of Seogwipo. The seafood market in town is a colourful glimpse of local life. Make your way back to the ship in the late afternoon.

Day 12 - NCL Cruise onboard NCL JADE - Japan & South Korea
After breakfast on board, disembark Norwegian Jade in Incheon, the gateway port to South Korea's capital.
Make your way to your hotel, where you will check in for a one night stay. From Incheon you are an easy train or taxi ride from central Seoul, where you can explore the elegant grounds of Gyeongbokgung Palace, ascend N Seoul Tower for sweeping views, or seek out a street food stall for a taste of local favourites such as kimchi and Korean fried chicken. Closer to your hotel, Incheon's Chinatown and the historic open port area are well worth a wander. Tonight is at your leisure.
