Day 1 - Pre-Cruise Stay in Tokyo
Today your Tokyo adventure begins as you depart Australia on your included flight to Tokyo.Upon arrival, clear customs and immigration and make your way to your hotel, located just a short ride from Tokyo Disneyland and within easy reach of central Tokyo. Check in for the first of three nights. Settle in and rest after a long travel day.
Special Information:Airport transfers are not included. Our transfer portal offers the option to book your airport transfers for an easier arrival experience (additional charges apply). Access to this portal will be available through your Traveller Hub once your booking is confirmed.
Hotel check-in time is at 3pm. If arriving prior to this, you will be able to leave your luggage with hotel reception and explore your surroundings until check-in becomes available. The hotel may grant early check-in, however this is strictly subject to availability and at the hotel's discretion.
Day 2 - Pre-Cruise Stay in Tokyo
Today is yours to explore Tokyo at your own pace.
You might begin with a visit to Meiji Shrine, set within the leafy expanse of Yoyogi Park, before walking through the Harajuku district. The Imperial Palace East Gardens offer a peaceful escape in the heart of the city, while Asakusa is home to Sensoji, Tokyo's oldest Buddhist temple, with its grand Kaminarimon Gate and Nakamise shopping street.
For sweeping views, head up Tokyo Tower or the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building observation decks. Ginza is the place for elegant shopping and dining, while Ueno Park offers museums, gardens and a relaxing afternoon stroll. The major rail stations connect you to all of Tokyo's neighbourhoods within minutes.

Day 3 - Pre-Cruise Stay in Tokyo
This morning after breakfast, head to Tokyo Disneyland for a day in the park, with your included 1-Day Passport in hand. The hotel is a short ride from the park entrance via the complimentary Disney Resort shuttle and Maihama Station.
Tokyo Disneyland is the original Disney park outside the United States and brings the magic of Disney with a distinctly Japanese touch. Wander through Cinderella's castle, ride classic attractions including Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain, meet your favourite characters and enjoy the seasonal parades and shows that run throughout the day.Return to your hotel in the evening for a final night in Tokyo before joining the ship tomorrow.
Special Information:Your Tokyo Disneyland 1-Day Passport admits one guest to Tokyo Disneyland Park for one day. The ticket is not valid for Tokyo DisneySea.Park opening hours, ride availability and entertainment schedules are subject to change at the discretion of Tokyo Disney Resort.

Day 4 - Princess Cruise onboard DIAMOND PRINCESS - Japan & South Korea (M710)
This morning after breakfast, check out of your hotel and make your way to Yokohama, where Diamond Princess awaits. Yokohama is reached in around 30 to 45 minutes by train from Tokyo on the JR Tokaido Line.
Once on board, settle into your stateroom and begin exploring the ship. Take in the spiral staircase of the Piazza, the Izumi Japanese Bath, the open-deck pools or one of Diamond Princess's many dining venues and lounges. Set sail in the afternoon on your nine night cruise.
An optional upgrade to a Princess Plus or Princess Premier package is available for those who would like to add drinks, Wi-Fi, casual dining and other inclusions.
Special Information:Your travel time today will be approximately 2 hours.
Diamond Princess berths at the Osanbashi or Daikoku Pier in Yokohama, depending on the day.

Today is a relaxed sea day as Diamond Princess makes her way north along the coast of Honshu.
Take time to enjoy the ship's facilities. You could spend a quiet morning in the Izumi Japanese Bath, catch a feature film at Movies Under the Stars, browse the Fine Arts Gallery, or simply find a sunny corner of the open deck. The Princess Theater hosts evening shows, and there are plenty of dining options to explore across the cruise.

Day 6 - Princess Cruise onboard DIAMOND PRINCESS - Japan & South Korea (M710)
Diamond Princess calls into Aomori today, on the northern tip of Honshu. The city is best known as the home of the spectacular Nebuta Festival, with its giant illuminated floats, but it offers far more besides.
In late April, Hirosaki Castle Park is one of the country's most celebrated cherry blossom spots, with over 2,500 trees lining the castle moats. The Nebuta Warasse museum showcases the festival floats year round, and the Aomori Museum of Art houses a striking modern collection. A short journey beyond the city, the Seiryu-ji temple grounds offer a peaceful escape.

Day 7 - Princess Cruise onboard DIAMOND PRINCESS - Japan & South Korea (M710)
Welcome to Muroran on the southern coast of Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost main island. Once a major industrial port, today Muroran is known for its rugged coastal scenery and easy access to the surrounding nature.
Highlights include the Cape Chikyu lookout with its sweeping views over the Pacific, the Muroran Eight Sights along the dramatic cliffs, and the nearby hot spring town of Noboribetsu Onsen, famous for its Hell Valley (Jigokudani) volcanic landscapes. Date Jidaimura is a recreated Edo-period village if you would like a taste of feudal Japan.

Day 8 - Princess Cruise onboard DIAMOND PRINCESS - Japan & South Korea (M710)
Hakodate sits at the southern tip of Hokkaido and was one of the first Japanese ports opened to foreign trade in the 19th century. That international heritage still shapes its character today.
The Motomachi district preserves Western-style buildings from the early trading era. The morning market near the cruise terminal is famed for fresh seafood, including Hakodate's prized squid. A cable car carries you up Mt Hakodate for one of the world's most celebrated nighttime panoramas. The star-shaped Goryokaku Fort is also a beautiful spot, particularly in late April when the cherry trees are in bloom.

Another relaxed sea day as Diamond Princess crosses the Sea of Japan toward South Korea. Enjoy a long breakfast in the Main Dining Room, attend an enrichment lecture, take in an afternoon cocktail at Crooners, or watch a Broadway-style show in the Princess Theater. Tonight could be the night to try one of the specialty restaurants on board.

Welcome to Busan, South Korea's second largest city, known for its beaches, mountains and bustling markets.
Highlights include Jagalchi, the country's biggest seafood market, the colourful hillside community of Gamcheon Culture Village, and the dramatic coastal temple of Haedong Yonggungsa where Buddhist statues sit above the crashing waves. Beomeosa Temple, set in the foothills of Geumjeongsan, is another peaceful escape, and Haeundae Beach offers a relaxed urban shoreline. Return to the ship in the afternoon.

Day 11 - Princess Cruise onboard DIAMOND PRINCESS - Japan & South Korea (M710)
Welcome to Nagasaki, a port city with a long and unique history of international trade and exchange. Like Hiroshima, it carries the weight of the events of 1945 and offers visitors a chance to reflect.
The Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and Peace Park provide an important and moving visit. Glover Garden, on a hillside overlooking the harbour, preserves the homes of nineteenth century European traders and offers fine views over the city. The Mt Inasa ropeway carries you up to one of the world's most celebrated nighttime panoramas. Return to the ship in the afternoon.

Day 12 - Princess Cruise onboard DIAMOND PRINCESS - Japan & South Korea (M710)
A final day at sea as Diamond Princess sails back toward Yokohama. Make the most of the ship's facilities, enjoy a leisurely meal, or simply watch the coastline pass by. This evening, settle any onboard accounts and prepare your bags for disembarkation tomorrow morning.

Day 13 - Disembark Yokohama [Bus] Tokyo (Shinjuku)
After breakfast on board, disembark Diamond Princess in Yokohama. Make your way back into Tokyo by train, around 30 to 45 minutes from Yokohama on the JR Tokaido Line, where you will check in to your hotel in the heart of Shinjuku for a one night stay.
The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Tokyo at your own pace. From Shinjuku you are within easy reach of Tokyo's neighbourhoods, with the gardens of Shinjuku Gyoen, the lively streets of Kabukicho, the observation decks of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and the shopping arcades around Shinjuku Station all close by. Find a quiet izakaya for a final meal in Japan or revisit one of your favourite spots from earlier in the trip.

Your Japan and South Korea journey draws to a close today. After breakfast, check out of your hotel and make your way to Tokyo for your flight home to Australia.
