With a connection via a USA hub, the overnight journey takes you across the International Date Line travelling eastbound, meaning you will arrive in Fairbanks later in the day. On arrival at Fairbanks International Airport (FAI), you will be met for your included private transfer to your centrally located hotel - the same hotel included in your Holland America cruisetour - where your tour officially begins. The remainder of the day is at leisure to recover after your long journey, stretch your legs along the Chena River or sample hearty Alaskan fare at a local restaurant.

This morning meet your dedicated Holland America Tour Director at your hotel for a welcome briefing before stepping back in time aboard the sternwheeler Riverboat Discovery.
