Day 1 - Home [Plane] Athens
Our journey begins today as we depart on our included flight to Athens. Due to the distance and time difference, flights from home depart today and arrive in Athens the following day.Special Information: International airfares are included in the package. Flight times and routing will be confirmed once ticketed.
We arrive in Athens and are met and transferred to our hotel for the first of two nights. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and recover from the long flight.Special Information: Arrival airport transfers in Athens are included as part of the package.
After breakfast, our day is at leisure to explore Athens. We might visit the Acropolis and the Parthenon, the Acropolis Museum, the Ancient Agora and the Temple of Olympian Zeus, or wander the Plaka district and Syntagma Square beneath the ancient citadel.
Day 4 - Athens (Piraeus) - Embark [Ship]
This morning we make our own way to the port of Piraeus and embark Azamara Onward. After settling into our stateroom, we set sail from Athens in the evening, beginning our 21-night voyage through the Greek islands, the Adriatic and Italy to the French Riviera.Special Information:Port transfers in Athens are not included. The ship sails at 5:00 PM; all guests must be on board at least two hours prior.
Day 5 - Syros, Greece [Ship]
We arrive in Syros, capital of the Cyclades. The main town of Ermoupoli rises in tiers of neoclassical mansions above the harbour, with marble squares, the Apollon Theatre and the older hilltop districts of Ano Syros and Vrontado.Special Information: In port from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Day 6 - Thessaloniki, Greece [Ship]
Greece's second city and the capital of Macedonia. Highlights include the waterfront White Tower, the Roman Rotunda and Arch of Galerius, the Byzantine churches and one of the country's best food scenes.Special Information: In port from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Day 7 - Volos, Greece [Ship]
A port city at the foot of Mount Pelion and, in mythology, the home of Jason and the Argonauts. From here we can reach the traditional villages of the Pelion peninsula, its beaches, or the archaeological sites of the region.Special Information: In port from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Day 8 - Mykonos, Greece [Ship]
One of the most recognisable of the Greek islands, with its whitewashed lanes, hillside windmills and the waterfront of Little Venice. A late evening call gives more time ashore to enjoy the island after the day-trippers have left. Mykonos is also the gateway to the sacred archaeological island of Delos.Special Information: Tendered port - guests are transferred ashore by small boat, subject to weather and sea conditions. In port from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Day 9 - Cesme, Turkey [Ship]
A resort town on Turkey's Aegean coast, known for its Genoese castle, thermal springs and nearby beaches. Cesme is also a gateway to the historic town of Alacati, with its stone houses, windmills and cafes.
Special Information: In port from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A Turkish e-Visa is required for Australian passport holders - apply via the official Turkish government e-Visa portal before travel.
Day 10 - Monemvasia, Greece [Ship]
A fortified medieval town built on a rock island linked to the Peloponnese by a causeway. The car-free lower town has Byzantine churches and stone lanes, beneath the ruins of the upper town and its clifftop church.

Day 11 - Zakynthos, Greece [Ship]
One of the Ionian Islands, known for Navagio (Shipwreck) Beach, the Blue Caves and the marine national park that protects the loggerhead turtle. The island town offers Venetian squares and a lively waterfront.Special Information: Tendered port - subject to weather and sea conditions. In port from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Day 12 - Corfu, Greece [Ship]
The most northerly of the Ionian Islands, with a UNESCO-listed Old Town shaped by Venetian, French and British rule. Highlights include the Old and New Fortresses, the Liston arcade and the Achilleion Palace.Special Information: In port from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
A day at sea as our ship crosses the Adriatic toward Venice. Time to enjoy Azamara Onward's dining, lounges, pool deck and spa as the Greek segment of our voyage draws to a close.
Day 14 - Venice (Fusina), Italy [Ship]
Our ship arrives at Venice this morning, the point where the Greek segment of our voyage gives way to the Adriatic and Italy.
Special Information: Continuous back-to-back voyage - guests must disembark and re-embark the cruise with customs, security and check-in required. You will not be in the same cabin as previously allocated. Fusina is the cruise berth for Venice, with a shuttle across the lagoon to the city. The ship sails at 5:00 PM.
Day 15 - Koper, Slovenia [Ship]
Slovenia's main port, with a compact Venetian-influenced old town centred on Tito Square, and a gateway to the Postojna Cave and the capital Ljubljana.
Special Information: In port from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Day 16 - Pula, Croatia [Ship]
At the tip of the Istrian peninsula, Pula is home to one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world, along with the Temple of Augustus and the Arch of the Sergii.

Day 17 - Zadar, Croatia [Ship]
A Dalmatian coast city with Roman and Venetian heritage, known for the Roman Forum, the round church of St Donatus, and the modern Sea Organ and Sun Salutation installations on the waterfront.
Special Information: In port from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Day 18 - Split, Croatia [Ship]
Built around the vast Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO-listed Roman complex that still forms the living heart of the city. Split is also a gateway to the Dalmatian islands and the Krka waterfalls.
Special Information: In port from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Day 19 - Dubrovnik, Croatia [Ship]
The Pearl of the Adriatic, with its UNESCO-listed walled Old Town, marble streets and the city walls that ring the sea. A cable car climbs Mount Srd for views over the terracotta rooftops.

Day 20 - Kotor, Montenegro [Ship]
Set at the head of a dramatic fjord-like bay, Kotor's walled medieval Old Town climbs the mountainside behind the harbour, with fortifications rising to the fortress of San Giovanni above.

A day at sea as our ship cruises west across the Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas toward the Bay of Naples.
Day 22 - Sorrento, Italy [Ship]
A clifftop town on the Bay of Naples and a gateway to the Amalfi Coast, the ruins of Pompeii and the Isle of Capri with its Blue Grotto.Special Information: Tendered port - subject to weather and sea conditions. In port from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Day 23 - Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy [Ship]
Civitavecchia is the port for Rome, around 90 minutes from the city. From here we can reach the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the Vatican.Special Information: In port from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Rome is approximately 80km from the port.
Day 24 - Portovenere, Italy [Ship]
A UNESCO-listed village on the Ligurian coast at the gateway to the Cinque Terre, with a colourful harbourfront and the church of St Peter on the rocky point.
Special Information: Tendered port - subject to weather and sea conditions. In port from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Day 25 - Nice, France - Disembark
Our voyage ends this morning in Nice on the French Riviera. We disembark and transfer to our hotel for the first of two nights. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the Promenade des Anglais, the Old Town and the markets.
Special Information: Ship disembarkation is from 6:00 AM. Arrival hotel transfer in Nice is included.
A full day at leisure in Nice. We might explore the Old Town and the Cours Saleya market, visit the Matisse or Chagall museums, or take a short trip along the coast to Monaco, Eze or Antibes.
Day 27 - Nice [Plane] Home
After breakfast we check out and transfer to Nice airport for our included flight home. Thank you for travelling with Inspiring Vacations.
Special Information: Departure airport transfer in Nice is included. Passengers who have added the optional Dubai stopover break their journey here, departing Nice on 7 September.
Our flight arrives home today. Due to the time difference, we arrive the day after departing Nice, completing our journey through Greece, the Adriatic and Italy. (Passengers on the Dubai stopover continue their onward arrangements.)
