Napoli Escape & Sorrento Tour

Make your own way to Rome Termini Station for 8:30 a.m. (Optional private transfer could be provided from hotels in Rome from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m) and take the high-speed train to Naples. Upon arrival in Naples, our expert local assistant meets you at Naples train station, direct transfer to the Hotel. Day at leisure to explore the city and taste the excellence of local food. Overnight at Palazzo Salgar or similar.

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning reach Piazza del Gesù Nuovo to start a guided walking tour to admire Church of Gesù Nuovo and the Monastery of Santa Chiara. Next, visit Pignasecca, a colourful local market buzzing with food and clothing shops. Take in the sights and smells of the market and try some typical Neapolitan street food along the way. Enter the bustling Quartieri Spagnoli (Spanish Quarter), the most densely populated and characteristic part of the city. Look up the hill at its grid of alleys and stairs and take in the street art and hanging linins decorating the balconies. Finish in the monumental area of Naples and admire the elegant Caffè Gambrinus, the San Carlo Theatre, the Galleria Umberto, and the Piazza Plebiscito framed in the background by the Royal Palace. Afternoon at leisure with possibility to enjoy optional tours. Overnight at Palazzo Salgar or similar. (B) 

Breakfast in the hotel, check out and pick up about 10:00 a.m. Proceed to Pompeii for the private guided tour of the archaeological excavations. This ancient Roman city was destroyed when Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD and buried it, preserving it under a sea of volcanic ash for nearly 1700 years. At the end of the visit transfer to Sorrento, famous for its picturesque old town centre and characteristic fisherman’s village of Marina Grande, one of the most authentic treasures of the city. Overnight at Grand Hotel Vesuvio, Hotel Michaelangelo or similar. (B)

Breakfast in the hotel and departure for the port. Sail to Capri by traditional Gozzo Sorrentino. Enjoy a boat trip around the island and the possibility to swim into its crystal-clear waters. Once landed on the island, you will continue by minibus to discover it and reach the legendary Piazzetta, heart of the island. Enjoy some free time to explore Capri at your own pace. Return to the port to head back to Sorrento. Overnight at Grand Hotel Vesuvio, Hotel Michaelangelo or similar. (B)

Breakfast in the hotel and check out. Morning at leisure in Sorrento. Direct transfer from Sorrento to Naples at around 3:30 p.m. to take the high speed train to Rome. Arrival at Termini Station scheduled for around 7:00pm. (B)
