After breakfast, depart for Syracuse, one of the most influential cities of the ancient world. Visit the Archaeological Park of Neapolis, home to the Greek Theatre, Roman Amphitheatre, Latomies of Paradise and Ear of Dionysius. Continue to Ortigia, Syracuse’s historic centre, to admire Piazza Duomo, the Cathedral and Arethusa’s Fountain. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, proceed to Noto, the capital of Sicilian Baroque and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with free time to explore its elegant streets and magnificent 18th-century architecture.
