Our Carbon Neutral flights arrive into Melbourne where we board our luxurious ‘Gold Class’ coach, ensuring responsible travel with 100% offset flight and coach emissions. We leave Melbourne and travel country roads stopping for lunch at Euroa. Our afternoon takes us via Corryong, into Alpine Country, home to The Man from Snowy River Bush Festival. We continue on to Tumbarumba where we check-in.

The Man From Snowy River Bush Festival unfolds over two thrilling days, celebrating Australia’s bush heritage and horsemanship. Friday morning kicks off with the spectacular re-enactment of Banjo Paterson’s The Man From Snowy River, bringing the legendary poem to life. We then explore The Man from Snowy River Museum on a guided tour, uncovering the region’s history, the real-life inspiration behind the poem, and the pioneering lifestyle of the High Country. The arena comes alive with rounds of The Man from Snowy River Challenge, where riders showcase stock handling, packhorse work, bareback riding, whip cracking, and cross-country skills. The Working Cattle Dog Championships, Stockman’s Whip Contest, and Horseshoeing Competitions highlight traditional bush skills, while rodeo events light up the night with bull riding, saddle bronc, and barrel racing, delivering heartpounding entertainment. Across both days, festival-goers can enjoy bush poetry and music sessions, explore the Bush Market, and experience the vibrant Street Parade, featuring horses, decorated floats, and stockmen in traditional attire. With thrilling competitions, lively entertainment, and an electric atmosphere, Friday and Saturday provide a fabulous experience of Australia’s bush culture and horsemanship. Late Saturday we depart via Kosciuszko National Park, arriving in Thredbo.

This morning is free for self-guided walks. Later, we take the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift to Eagles Nest Restaurant for lunch, enjoying panoramic views of Mount Kosciuszko and Thredbo village. After lunch, we return via the chairlift and enjoy the Alpine Coaster ride down a 700m track through the Thredbo wilderness.

Today, we leave the Alpine region and head to Cooma, visiting the Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre for a self-guided tour of its exhibits on the hydroelectric scheme. Then, we continue to Canberra for a special lunch before heading into the Southern Highlands where we check-in to our lodge.

Today, we begin with a private tour and animal encounter at the Australian Wildlife Sanctuary, where you’ll get an up-close experience with native wildlife. Afterward, we head to Centennial Vineyards for a delightful two-course lunch. Following lunch, we visit the iconic Bradman Museum & International Cricket Hall of Fame, and explore the legacy of cricket before returning to Briars Country Lodge to relax for the evening.

Leaving the Southern Highlands, we embark on a scenic drive before arriving into Jamisontown. Here, we board the Nepean Belle Paddle wheeler for a leisurely lunch cruise along the tranquil Nepean River. As we glide along the river, enjoy scenic landscapes and charming waterfront homes. After a relaxing onboard lunch, we continue to Newcastle for our overnight stay.

Departing from Newcastle, we enjoy a scenic drive north before stopping at Bulahdelah, where we enjoy morning tea. We continue our journey to Kempsey, to visit The Slim Dusty Centre. This remarkable museum celebrates the life and legacy of the legendary Australian country music icon, Slim Dusty. In the afternoon, we travel via Coffs Harbour, passing through stunning coastal scenery before reaching Grafton.

We journey home this morning, visiting Tropical Fruit World en-route to enjoy a plantation tractor tour, fruit tasting and lunch. From here we make our way to the Brisbane Coach Terminal arriving late afternoon.
