Overview
Your seven-day journey begins in Las Vegas, neon bright against the desert. Then, Route 66 carries you through Kingman and Seligman past classic motels and kitsch petrol pumps, with the chance to tuck into a steaming slice of apple pie. At the Grand Canyon, you'll stand at the rim above bands of ancient stone and the Colorado River. In Monument Valley you'll travel by open-air vehicle with a Navajo Local Specialist between sandstone buttes rising hundreds of feet from the valley floor. Horseshoe Bend curls through the rock below, Bryce Canyon bristles with multicoloured hoodoos and Zion’s cream, pink and red sandstone cliffs tower above the road.

- Red Rock Canyon: Admire the towering red cliffs and sandstone peaks of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
- Las Vegas: Route 66, home to many Americana landmarks, museums and icons from the bygone days. On your journey along this historic route, stop at Kingman and Seligman - noteworthy towns on Route 66. Learn how although it only existed between 1926 and 1985, Route 66 has become a symbol of the American dream of adventurers and migrants who sought opportunities out west.
- Grand Canyon National Park: One of the seven natural wonders of the world and the second most visited national park in the United States. Explore the Visitor Center and get familiar with the history of the Grand Canyon, grab a coffee at a local cafe and take a walk along the Rim Trail. Keep your camera on-hand as you explore some of the 278 miles of the Colorado River and adjacent canyonlands at one of the most spectacular examples of erosion anywhere in the world with unmatched vistas along its rim.
- Horseshoe Bend: At Horseshoe Bend, you follow the 2.4 km round-trip trail towards the overlook, where the sandstone canyon drops 305 metres to the Colorado River below. From the rim, take in the river curling through the horseshoe-shaped bend, with vast layers of rock stretching across the canyon.
- Bryce Canyon National Park: In Bryce Canyon National Park, you follow juniper-lined trails towards viewpoints along the rim of the Paunsaugunt Plateau, where rose, orange and cream hoodoos spill across vast natural amphitheatres below. Shaped by millions of years of freezing and thawing, slender spires, scalloped ridges and shadowed folds of rock stretch away through the canyon.
