Your Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kota Kinabalu
Fly to Kota Kinabalu in the Malaysian state of Sabah, on Borneo. On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Explore Kota Kinabalu
Spend the morning exploring the city, visiting the Yayasan Sabah (Sabah Foundation) building, wandering the Sabah State Museum, where you can learn about the state's diverse cultural and natural heritage, and seeing some of the city's beautiful architecture, including the Blue Mosque and Chinese Temple. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 3: Discover Kinabalu National Park
Head out of the city into the glorious nature. Make a stop at Nabalu village to taste some fruit and browse the local handicrafts before arriving at the Poring hot springs. Search for wildlife on the canopy walkway before enjoying a soak in one of the hot mineral pools set in landscaped gardens. Then, enter the wilds of Kinabalu National Park to discover the flora and fauna that lives around the foot of the 4,095-metre-high Mount Kinabalu.
Day 4: Visit Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary
Fly to the city of Sandakan, heading straight to the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary on arrival. Here, you'll get your first glimpse of Borneo's most famous resident as you watch rescued orangutans being prepared to go back into the wild. Next door is the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, where you can learn about the world's smallest bear. This afternoon, cruise up the Kinabatangan River to reach your jungle lodge accommodation, followed by another cruise to spot wildlife on the river's gloriously biodiverse banks.
Day 5: Cruise the Kinabatangan
Rise early and board a boat to the tranquil Pitas Lake where you can view the copious birds and animals that live around it, returning to the lodge for breakfast. Then, cruise upriver to a riverside lodge and settle in for the next two nights. Later in the afternoon, head back onto the river for another wildlife spotting cruise. You could spot anything from hornbills to pygmy elephants!
Cruise peacefully across the waters of Oxbow Lake at dawn in search of more wonderful wildlife before heading back to the lodge for breakfast. Enjoy the rest of the morning at leisure. After lunch, explore the magnificent Gomantong Caves. Set in a limestone outcrop in a beautiful forest, the cave system is home to millions of bats and swiftlets.
Day 7: Return to Kota Kinabalu
Depart the lodge by river, enjoying your final immersion in the sights and sounds of the jungle. Pause at a jungle lodge for lunch before arriving at Sandakan airport to fly back to Kota Kinabalu.
Fly to Singapore. On arrival at the airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel where the rest of the day is yours to relax or explore.
Embark a full day tour of Singapore. Begin in the historic neighbourhoods of Chinatown and Kampong Glam, where you can soak up local culture and learn about the art of ‘teh tarik’ (tea pulling). Pass Parliament House on the way to Merlion Park, where you'll get excellent views over Marina Bay. Arrive at the Fullerton Hotel via a hidden walkway for a delicious High Tea. Cruise the Singapore River as the sun sets then, post dinner, explore the magnificent Gardens by the Bay and enjoy its iconic light show.
Day 10: Board the Norwegian Jade
After breakfast you will be transferred to Singapore's cruise terminal to board your cruise. The rest of the day is free to explore the ship's facilities and settle in. Throughout your cruise, when your ship comes into port, there will a range of excursions available to help you explore each destination. These excursions are at your own expense and are bookable on your cruise reservation.
Day 11: Cruise – At Sea
Find your favourite spot to gaze out over the sparkling blue of the Gulf of Thailand, be it a café, on deck or from your cabin, as your cruise towards your final port of call.
Day 12: Cruise – Koh Samui
One of Thailand's many paradise islands, your time on Koh Samui can easily be spent lazing on a beautiful beach or discovering some of the island's glorious nature. There's also the Big Buddha to view, sat on an island just off the coast.
Day 13: Cruise – Bangkok
Port at Laem Chabang, which gives you access to Thailand's vibrant capital. Here, you can visit the golden roofed palaces and temples among the gleaming skyscrapers and grab some delicious Thai food.
Day 14: Cruise – At Sea
While away the day exploring the plentiful amenities of your cruise ship. Why not relax by the pool, enjoy a spa treatment, or try a lively dance lesson.
Day 15: Cruise – Saigon
Dock at Phu My port. From here you can visit Ho Chi Minh City, or Saigon, Vietnam's southern powerhouse and explore the history-filled streets. Alternatively, head to the Mekong Delta, to immerse yourself in the lush greenery and farming culture.
Spend the days at sea trying out the different restaurants, watching live performances featuring a talented cast of performers and musicians or browsing shopping boutiques for souvenirs.
A tiny sultanate on the island of Borneo, you can get a feel for Brunei Darussalam as you explore the port of Muara. Spend your day admiring the glittering domes and minarets of ornate mosques, wandering the Brunei Museum or visiting a traditional village.
Day 18: Cruise – Kota Kinabalu
Return again to the beautiful island of Borneo! Spend your time here lounging on one of the glorious beaches, delving into the city's fascinating history or culture, or exploring the nature at the foot of the mighty Mount Kinabalu, just outside the city.
Day 19: Cruise – Puerto Princesa
Discover some World War II history, relax on the beach or get even more adventurous by heading down into the Subterranean River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are plenty of ways to soak up the sunshine at this Philippines port.
Arrive at Coron Town on Busuanga Island, Philippines. The gateway to much natural beauty and some spectacular beaches, many of which are nestled in the shadow of limestone cliffs. There are also many paradise islands nearby, ready to be explored.

Day 22: Cruise - Hong Kong
Dock at Hong Kong's cruise port where the day is at leisure before your final night onboard your cruise ship.
Day 23: Disembark in Hong Kong
Bid farewell to the Norwegian Jade. Met by a guide, you will be transferred to your hotel in Hong Kong where the rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 24: Explore Hong Kong
Spend the day exploring under the iconic skyline of Hong Kong. Ride the tram up Victoria Peak for breathtaking views and a fascinating walking tour. Return to Central and ride the Central Escalator to Tai Kwan, the city's latest artistic hub. Continue to Hollywood Road and Man Mo Temple. Enjoy a dim sum making demonstration, before eating dim sum for lunch, then head for the West Kowloon Cultural District. Later, follow The Avenue of Stars to admire Victoria Harbour at night.
Days 25-26: Fly Hong Kong to Australia
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Australia, arriving home the same or following day.
